it’s been 364 days since i’ve been on Twitter. why?!?

i “took time off” to focus on getting through Organic Chemistry II, which i somehow managed to do; i said i’d get back in the swing of things after the semester. i spent my summer as a full-time(+) babysitter for a little girl and that kept me occupied. then the fall semester started so i said Christmas break and… hey, at least it’s not been an ENTIRE year!

anyway, i fully intend to start tweeting (and starring!!) again — by the way, in my time away i got an Android phone (OG Droid/Droid 1, yeah “old school”), so i look forward to using the Twitter app :) — and i actually mean it this time.

i came to tumblr tonight to type a simple apology for being absent from twitter (the last tweets i read were from the very beginning of February). seeing my last post here i thought “when did i post that?” as it mostly fits my current situation; i posted that 4 months ago, haha. this semester has been kicking my tail, leaving me NO free time, but i’m nevertheless trying my best to get caught up on all your stellar tweets. i hope to be back soon! thank you for still sticking around <3

i just typed up quite a bit of a blog, talking about how i’ve been basically absent from twitter for half a month, and starting to go into my real life, but then i decided against posting it.

i don’t know why i’ve decided to hide from the internet
though my facebook is flourishing, hmmm

guess it’s time to say hello to my actual, real-life, paper and pen journal.

So about half of the “big” favstar users (grr what do we call you?!? i wanna use “favSTARS” but that’s sorta weird. thoughts?) that follow me on twitter are also following me on tumblr, niiice. thanks for that. :)
wait a minute. i just checked Friend or Follow and the one i knew for sure was following me apparently isn’t. OH WELL. #whine

I really really want to use tumblr, but i’m having trouble thinking of/finding things to post. I do want to blog (like i am now..), probably about things no one cares about, but i also want to post more than just text. eh i guess i’ll get used to it the more i’m on here.

Tomorrow is my first day of class of my third year of college.
i dunno what else to say about that.
I guess it’s old news by now; all the first-years on Facebook are REALLY starting to get on my nerves. Those who’ve already started post after every class and every “college thing” they do, like they’re the first people to go to college EVAR. seriously, it’s not that interesting.

OH, that reminds me. I think it is NOT COOL that Facebook has that new “Places” feature. I started using Foursquare about a month ago and i think it’s really neat. and i can post to Twitter and Facebook where i check in, if i want to. However, a couple days ago i checked in two places and sent them to Facebook but for some reason they didn’t post. KIND OF ODD that this is the time they’re rolling out the Places feature (though i still haven’t gotten it yet). boo Facebook, BOO!
and check this out; take a good look at the logo and read beneath. again, boo!

anyway, enough blabbing.
any tips on tumblr would be greaaat.
and any tips on ending a blog would be greaaat too.

twitter, favstar, now tumblr.

when i first joined twitter, i thought of it as a place to post things too stupid or “out there” for facebook. then i found favstar, and it completely changed my outlook on twitter and how i would use it from then on. now i’ve decided to join tumblr and use it as another outlet, for blogging as well as posting things that make me happy. looking at the pages (what are they called here?) of some of my favorite favstar users, it seems that tumblr is more laid back, where all the tweeters come to just chill, i guess. save the best stuff for twitter, but say whatever you feel like here. awesome.

also: i’m having trouble figuring out if/where my twitter favorites are on tumblr. i’ve found a couple because they use the same name, but i know there’s more that i just haven’t been able to find. [and yes, i know i can look at who Favstar follows on here, but i’d like to find an app or something to connect who i follow on twitter with their tumblr pages.]
